Are you a talented Management Accountant looking to make an impact?

Position Summary:

Our bustling ship repair yard is searching for a passionate and skilled professional to join our Finance Department. If you're ready to dive into a full-time role where you'll report directly to the Finance Director and play a crucial part in our financial operations, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Payable & Receivable Accounts: Keep our financials in check and running smoothly.
  • Conduct Monthly/Adhoc Payment Runs: Ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Perform Petty/Bank Account Reconciliations: Maintain accuracy in all transactions.
  • Handle Project Costing: Oversee costing duties for ship repair/conversion projects.
  • Analyse Project Costs: Provide insightful work- in-progress reports.
  • Prepare Month-End and Year-End Accounts: Formulate detailed management accounts.
  • Support Finance Team: Assist and guide our Accounts Assistant.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACCA/accounting degree required).
  • Experience: Solid background in Accounts/Finance; auditing experience is a plus.
  • IT Proficiency: Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, AX Dynamics, or Business Central.
  • Attributes: Responsible, reliable, dedicated, and trustworthy with excellent communication skills.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish.

Join Our Team as an Office Administrator

Join our dynamic ship repair yard as a proactive and detail-oriented Office Administrator. This full-time role, reports directly to the HR Manager.

Position Summary:

The Office Administrator ensures smooth office operations from the reception desk, handling a variety of tasks to support managers and employees. Responsibilities include reception duties, administrative tasks, and managing general office activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage incoming calls
  • Greet clients and visitors 
  • Provide administrative support to HR, Payroll, Finance, and QHSE departments
  • Manage databases 
  • Coordinate paperwork with foremen
  • Maintain office 
  • Occasionally transport clients 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience as an Office Administrator, Admin Assistant, or Receptionist
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organisational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and proactive
  • Valid motorbike and car driving licenses

Join Our Team as a Security Guard 

Join our dynamic ship repair yard as a full-time Security Guard. Immediate Start. 

Position Summary:

Ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors by monitoring and patrolling areas, responding to emergencies, and deterring security threats. Strong observational skills, excellent judgment, and quick, effective action are essential. This role can include, nights, weekend and holidays. At times  you may be exposed to various weather conditions. Training on all things Gibdock is provided, along with weather appropriate uniform and PPE. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome people to the yard
  • Patrol interior and exterior areas
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms systems
  • Conduct vehicle searches
  • Verify all visitors and deliveries whilst maintaining a log 
  • Respond and assist with alarms, emergencies and security breaches 
  • Submit incident and daily activity reports
  • Answer calls, emails and questions
  • Ensure everyone onsite adheres to policies, procedures and local laws
  • Participate and conduct training and drills                                                                                                                                             ​​​​​

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience as a security guard preferred
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • First aid and CPR certification advantageous 
  • Strong observational and communication skills
  • Professional, proactive, used to working under pressure
  • Physically fit and well to be able to respond to incidents
  • Valid car driving license
  • Basic IT skills 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Work hours: 60 hours/week, 5 x 12-hour shifts, rotational basis with 2 rest days
  • 22 days of annual paid leave plus 12 bank holidays
  • Quarterly Attendance Bonus 
  • Eligibility to join the company pension scheme
